And obviously you are breathing in the city that i was living just 3 months before :) it is really amazing. Also we have a house in Dardanos and we used to spend at least 4 months a year there.
I graduated from "Çanakkale Fen Lisesi" in june and came to Budapest 21st of august. The things that you told here make me feel at home and happy when i'm reading.
My family is still living there (near the "SSK Hastanesi") and waiting for me (i will be back on 6th july) :)
I don't know wich school are you in but probaby not mine because if so, i would be known it before.
It is great to hear something about my place from an exchange student in my exchange year!!! :)
you can ask whatever you wonder about... i would like to help
I really miss the smell of the sea, the wind and the "simit" (the ring shaped baked food covered with sesame, people sell it on the streets in wheelbarrows)... have fun with them !!!!
Hoşçakal :)Mervehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12154760708759924104noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2538550498278869398.post-3390612301847890102009-12-02T09:36:04.780-05:002009-12-02T09:36:04.780-05:00Very interesting, thanks for sharing these experei...Very interesting, thanks for sharing these expereinces. I'm, in fact, jealous of the things you are going through. Constantly being pushed to your limits is really helping your grow.
When I was in the Philippines we had a similar expreinces killing a chicken. Except it was I who did the killing. Nothing I had ever done before, and I remember saying sorry to the chicken, and the people told me it was bad luck to talk to it like that.
Anyway, I love you and miss you lots!

Your big bro -JJJJhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16422124628330636515noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2538550498278869398.post-14709853691628263852009-12-01T23:42:02.648-05:002009-12-01T23:42:02.648-05:00Wow. They were both the same in principle but quite different in 'execution' (pun intended). That must have been really hard to watch. Both of you guys. Its interesting that in Flans case it was sort of like a school-wide forced activity and in yours it was a sort of family thing and your mother actually suggested that you not watch. I also find it interesting not only how different these accounts were but also how similar. That these same customs are practiced in two countries on opposite corners of the world. Thanks, That gave me a bit of very compare and contrast-ish thinking to do.

By the way. I miss you.A FRIENDhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01482827066532987615noreply@blogger.com
